Alleged Offences:
Contravention of section 297(1) of the Companies Act 1963 (as amended) - fraudulent trading
Contravention of section 202(10) of the Companies Act 1990 - failure to keep proper books of account

Contravention of section 125 of the Companies Act 1963 (as amended) - failure to make annual returns to the Registrar of Companies

All three charges related to Mr Gannon's position as a director of Corran Building Services Ltd (In Liquidation).

Outcome:
Mr Gannon had pleaded guilty to all three charges last month and had been remanded on bail. He was sentenced on the above date (18 March) to two concurrent sentences of six months (suspended for twelve months) in respect of the charges of fraudulent trading and failing to keep proper books of account. He was bound to the peace on his own bond of €250 for a period of twelve months.
