The Company Law Enforcement Act 2001 requires the Director of Corporate Enforcement to encourage compliance with the Companies Acts.

Consistent with this mandate, the Director and his staff prepared a number of Information Notes.

[Effective from 1 Eanair 2009] the Director of Corporate Enforcement ("the Director" has decided that there will not, in future, be a requirement for liquidators of insolvent companies to make a further or final report to his Office (ODCE) in cases where a definitive decision to relieve, or not to relieve, liquidators of the obligation to take restriction proceedings against the directors of a company.
