Alleged Offences: 
The defendant was charged with 5 breaches of section 242 of the Companies Act, 1990 (furnishing false information) relating to the lodgment of independent auditors’ reports to the Companies Registration Office. 

Outcome: 
The defendant pleaded guilty to all five charges. The court convicted him on two charges, imposing fines totalling €3,200. In relation to the remaining three charges, the court found that they were thought proven and took them into account.
