The defendant was charged when acting as an officer of Gortlee Stores Limited, that he delivered to the Companies Registration Office, Parnell Square Dublin 1 a form B10 which was false in a material particular knowing same to be false and thereby contravened Section 242 of the Companies Act, 1990 (as amended by Section 106 of the Company Law Enforcement Act, 2001 and Section 71 of the Investment Funds, Companies and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 2005) and Section 240 of the Companies Act 1990 (as amended by Section 104 of the Company Law Enforcement Act, 2001). 

Outcome: 
On a plea of guilty, the Court convicted the defendant and imposed a fine of €500
