Freedom of Information

The ODCE operates a Freedom of Information (FOI) service.  The email address odcefoi@odce.ie is available to enable the public to submit requests for information under the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act 2014.

However, please be aware that the only records subject to disclosure are those relating to the general administration of the Office.  Records dealing, for instance, with the ongoing compliance and enforcement work of the Office are outside the scope of the Act, because premature disclosure could compromise the Director's ability to gather sufficient evidence to make companies and company officers accountable for their actions before the law.

Before sending an FOI request by email, you should satisfy yourself that the request is one which comes within the scope of the above conditions. If a qualifying FOI request involves the deployment of significant staff and other resources to fulfil the request, you will be asked to pay a fee to cover administration costs.
