Alleged Offence:
The defendant was charged with two offences under Section 202 of the Companies Act 1990, alleging failure by the company to keep proper books of account. The charges related to the financial period ending 31st March 2007 and the financial year ending 31st March 2008.

On a plea of guilty, the Court convicted the defendant of the two offences under Section 202 of the Companies Act 1990, imposed fines totalling €3,000 (€1,500 on each charge) and directed the defendant to pay prosecution costs of €1,250.
