The defendant was alleged to have contravened Section 202 of the Companies Act 1990, which requires the keeping of proper books of account. 

Outcome:
On a plea of guilty the Court convicted the company on two counts relating to the financial years ended 31st July, 2001 and 31st July, 2002. Taking into account the charitable nature of the company and other factors, Judge Garavan imposed fines totalling €100 together with costs of €208.
